GVAA Baseball, established in 1952, provides Recreational and Select Travel Baseball programs for the youths in the Walkersville, Glade & Lewistown Elementary School feeder districts. We are affiliated with Babe Ruth Baseball, and draft those youths within these charter boundaries. The boundary map is available to view in our DOCUMENT CENTER.

Note that to protect our young athletes, only parents/guardians of GVAA athletes, the athletes themselves or other GVAA Baseball authorized individuals will be permitted user access to this website.

Besides Baseball, the Glade Valley Athletic Association provides children ages 4 - 18 many athletic outlets via our several sports leagues including Football, Soccer, Lacrosse, Basketball, Wrestling, Cheerleading and many more. The Glade Valley Athletic Association (GVAA) is very excited about our upcoming 2010 baseball season. We are actively trying to include more of our community into our program. This year we are offering you and your business new opportunities to participate and support our organization. One hundred percent of your contribution goes directly into the GVAA baseball program. They will be used for the operating cost of the program, maintenance to the facility, equipment and uniform costs, and our scholarship fund.

There are several different ways for you to support the GVAA baseball program. We have five primary baseball fields that have large permanent scoreboards with advertising space up year round for the extent of your commitment. Individual team sponsorship is available, in which your company logo is printed on the shirt or hat for the entire team you are sponsoring. In addition to these, there are also fence banners with individual business names/logo and group banners that would hold several business names/logos.

REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2010 IS NOW OPEN!!!!!
GVAA Baseball is now accepting registrations for Spring 2010. Please download the registration form from the DOCUMENT CENTER (or click here). In addition, we will be mailing registrations and holding our annual Walk-in registrations as shown in our CALENDAR and UPCOMING EVENTS sections of the website. Finally, a new feature is our secure ONLINE registration process. Click on the link in the upper right hand of our websites main screen for this new registration process. CAMPS & CLINICS

Scott Thompson's Winter Baseball Clinics @ Mount St. Mary's University - Two clinics on Feb. 21, 2010, Hitting & Pitching/Catching. For ages 8 - 18, held in the Knott Arena on University groungs in Emmitsburg. Space is limited, so register early.

The Mount's baseball team were the 2008 NCAA Div1 NEC champions and the 2007 regular season champions!

THINKING OF COACHING?

Did you know that ALL GVAA Baseball coaches have to pass a mandatory coaches exam, take part in GVAA coaches clinics, and pass a mandatory criminal background check?

This is to ensure our young athletes have the best quality coaching program around!

If you want to be considered for a coaches position, please contact the GVAA board (see below). You will be directed to the following site to take your coaches exam:

Also, you will have to fill out our GVAA Coaches Consent & Background Check Form and the Coaching Qualification Questionaire found in the DOCUMENT CENTER.
